Worried.
I'm worried. I've had an xmb hosted website in the past, which I lost suddenly with no warning when the entire xmbhost domain simply closed down.
- When's Edmund last been around?
- And where have the ads gone? The ads are not supposed to be gone. They're our sponsors!
Does ANYONE have any clue what's going on?

How lovely...the board deleted my message.
XMB-Host and XMBHost are not related in anyway...XMBHost was owned by a hosting company called eXilant...which is no longer operational.

Yes, I do realise that. I'm just saying, the symptoms are there.

Chrno, do you know of any way to backup one's site? I mean, we don't have access to the database, so we can't download it and have it hosted by
someone else, can we? I really would hate to lose all the content on my site.

Unfortunately not Smeg,
That's something that goes along with the freehost deal. I've been on the fence about freehosting for quite sometime...there was a point where I was
tinkering with a system for XMB itself to use for such a thing which included the backup of databases.
But, we're short staffed, we have a ton of muck to mop up from previous management, we have a memberbase that's always being told something else
that isn't true...it's really just absurd. This probably could be contributing to what's happened here...the amount of gunk that's been thrown is
just unnerving.
I know me and the rest of the XMB Management (I should again say we aren't affiliated with XMB-Host) are trying our best to fix past issues with the
likes...not sure if it's the problem per sey here, but trust me, it'd make sense.

I did actually just download a version of XMB from the XMB Group yesterday. I imagine I can customise it to look exactly like my current forum? I hope
so, anyway. I've grown attached to that layout, and I'm not keen on the ones invisionfree or those phpbb sites have. They're ugly and confusing, in
my opinion.
So, now I'm trying to find a host with mysql that's free.

There are a few hosts which have this, I would advise not installing XMB until 1.9.9 is released on Tuesday though.
